Role: ServiceNow - ITSM & CMDB Developer

Role Description / Responsibilities

ServiceNow Vulnerability Reporting & Management

• Implement Container Vulnerability Management , including orchestration for scanning and remediation of container-based vulnerabilities

• Define and manage Infrastructure Vulnerability Workflows for endpoints and IPs not mapped to assets in the ServiceNow CMDB

• Develop operational, management, and governance dashboards (Power BI) to track:

  • Vulnerability posture

  • Remediation progress

  • Program effectiveness

ServiceNow Platform & Development

• Administer, configure, maintain, integrate, and upgrade the ServiceNow platform

• Design, develop, and support ServiceNow integrations with internal and external systems

• Develop and customize:

  • ServiceNow APIs

  • Workflows and Flow Designer

  • UI Pages, UI Macros, UI Actions, UI Policies

  • Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Scripts

  • Script Includes and Security Rules

• Use ServiceNow Integration Hub for rapid integration development and automation

• Implement ServiceNow orchestration to automate IT processes

ITOM, CMDB & Discovery

• Design, configure, and maintain ServiceNow ITOM Discovery for:

  • On-premises infrastructure

  • Cloud platforms (AWS & Azure)

• Ensure accurate CMDB population and governance

• Apply CSDM framework best practices

• Perform data mapping, transformation, synchronization, and reconciliation

Reporting & Analytics

• Create custom reports, dashboards, and visualizations

• Leverage ServiceNow Performance Analytics

• Support compliance, governance, and operational reporting

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement integration solutions

• Provide technical stewardship and support IT Service Delivery transformation initiatives

• Support current-state operations while enabling future-state improvements

Essential Skills & Experience

• 5-8 years of experience administering and supporting the ServiceNow platform

• 4+ years of ServiceNow development experience, with a strong focus on integrations

• Strong understanding of ServiceNow data model, tables, and relationships

• Extensive experience with ServiceNow integration technologies:

  • REST & SOAP APIs

  • SSO, SAML

  • Web Services

  • LDAP, JDBC, ODBC

• Hands-on experience with scripting and development:

  • JavaScript

  • AngularJS

  • Perl

  • PowerShell

• Experience integrating ServiceNow with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

• Strong functional and technical experience with ITOM Discovery and CMDB

• Good knowledge of ServiceNow CSDM framework

• Experience with Power BI dashboards and reporting

• Backend SQL Server experience (preferred)

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
