New Harmony Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a Full-Time Pastor with a servant’s heart and humble spirit who values community outreach and missions. We are seeking a God-called shepherd who is committed to biblical preaching, discipleship, and leading our congregation in fulfilling the Great Commission.

About Us

New Harmony Baptist Church is a congregation of approximately 100 members located in the northwest Florida Panhandle, about 60 miles north of Santa Rosa Beach and 10 miles south of the Alabama state line. The area around the church is rural and the county school district (Walton) is A+ rated and ranked second in the state of Florida.

We are committed to the Great Commission and affirm the Baptist Faith and Message. Our desire is to glorify God through worship, discipleship, evangelism, missions, and service.

Position Overview

The Pastor will provide spiritual and organizational leadership to the church, preach biblically grounded sermons, and cast vision for fulfilling the church’s mission. He will shepherd the congregation with integrity and lead in accordance with Southern Baptist theology and practice.

The Pastor will:

Oversee a team of three part-time staff members
Work closely with church leadership, deacons, volunteers, and contractors
Ensure doctrinal integrity in alignment with Southern Baptist beliefs

Key Responsibilities

Preach and teach Bible-based sermons
Lead worship services
Provide pastoral care, counseling, and spiritual guidance
Oversee the administration of baptism and the Lord’s Supper
Equip and mentor ministry leaders, staff, and volunteers
Guide local and global mission involvement
Develop and implement church vision alongside deacons and leadership
Uphold and teach the doctrines and values of the Baptist Faith and Message 2000

Qualifications

Clear testimony of salvation and calling to pastoral ministry
Life reflecting biblical pastoral qualifications as outlined in First Epistle to Timothy 3:1–7 and Epistle to Titus 1:5–9
Agreement with and commitment to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
Strong, proven preaching and teaching ability
Demonstrated leadership, administrative, stewardship, and interpersonal skills
Deeply rooted in Southern Baptist doctrine
