Locum AA (Anesthesiologist Assistant)

 This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to work on-site within the medical practice industry, providing critical support in anesthesia care for various surgical procedures.

As a Locum AA, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during anesthesia administration. You will collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care. This position is essential for maintaining the standards of care and efficiency in our practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesiologists in administering anesthesia during surgical procedures
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout surgery
• Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies
• Communicate effectively with surgical teams to ensure seamless procedures
• Assess patient conditions pre- and post-anesthesia
• Provide education and support to patients regarding anesthesia procedures
• Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in anesthesia care
• Document patient information accurately and timely in medical records

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Anesthesia or related field
• Current certification as an Anesthesiologist Assistant
• Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques and equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
• Experience in a clinical setting preferred
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed

Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, 4 days/week
