Central Engineer

Are you mechanically minded, detail-oriented, and ready to take ownership of projects from quote through completion? Thermal Tech, Inc., an employee-owned company , is looking for a Central Engineer to join our Orlando team.

In this role, you’ll combine technical expertise, estimating, and project management to develop solutions for commercial and industrial boiler/HVAC projects. You’ll work closely with customers, engineers, contractors, sales, and service teams to ensure projects are quoted accurately and executed successfully.

What You’ll Do

• Develop accurate and profitable quotes for new equipment and aftermarket projects.
• Review project layouts and specifications to determine proper equipment selection.
• Prepare detailed customer proposals, scopes of work, and submittal packages.
• Manage multiple projects, schedules, and priorities from quote through installation.
• Coordinate with customers, engineers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Troubleshoot technical and field issues as they arise.
• Support our Service team with technical questions and solutions.
• Visit jobsites as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5+ years of Boiler/HVAC, construction, estimating, or related experience.
• Working knowledge of mechanical piping systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, math, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
• College degree or 10 years of experience in a similar position .
• Project management experience is a plus.
