Job Summary

We are seeking IT Support Technicians for a seasonal election support project in West Palm Beach, FL. This contract opportunity supports a public-sector environment during a high-volume, mission-critical election season and is ideal for hands-on IT professionals who enjoy field work, device support, hardware preparation, and fast-paced technical operations.

As an IT Support Technician, you will help prepare, configure, support, and troubleshoot election-related technology used across multiple locations. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to an important community-focused project while working with a collaborative team, structured processes, and supportive leadership focused on accuracy, reliability, and operational success.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with Logic & Accuracy testing as an equipment operator to help ensure election technology is prepared and functioning properly.
- Prepare, configure, and support election equipment, including EViDs, cell phones, iPads, and other election-related devices.
- Provide technical support for election equipment in a call center environment during project operations.
- Travel to polling locations as needed to deliver on-site IT support and resolve equipment or connectivity issues.
- Support the Tabulation Department and complete additional IT or election-related tasks as assigned.
- Maintain dependable attendance, follow assigned schedules, and adapt to changing operational needs throughout the election season.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $20.00 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Project start date: June 22, 2026.
- Start time: 10:00 AM.
- Seasonal project expected to run through mid-November.
- Multiple openings available.
- Must be available to work long hours, overtime, consecutive days, early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
- Some project periods may require 20 or more consecutive days without a day off.
- Schedule flexibility is mandatory based on election needs.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support Logic & Accuracy testing and election equipment preparation.

- Provide call center and field-based IT support for election equipment.
- Travel to polling locations to support on-site technical needs.

- 1 to 2 years of IT support, field IT technician, help desk, or related technical support experience.
- Field IT Technician, Help Desk, or CompTIA A+ experience required.
- Hands-on hardware support experience is required.
- Candidates with only call-center or phone-based support backgrounds are not a fit for this role.
- Must be comfortable with physical IT work, including lifting, moving, and setting up equipment as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
- Ability to work a highly flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends, early mornings, late evenings, and consecutive days.
- Strong dependability, attention to detail, stamina, and ability to follow assigned schedules and procedures.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to support users in both call center and field environments.

Preferred Qualifications

- CompTIA A+ certification is a strong plus.
- Experience supporting hardware deployments, device imaging, or equipment rollouts.
- Prior election support experience.
- Public-sector IT support experience.
