The Logistics Manager will oversee all day-to-day logistics operations including outbound and inbound transportation, 3PL relationships, receiving orders, and the optimization of the logistics network to drive service excellence. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining routing guides for all retailers, ensuring OTIF (On-Time In-Full) service levels, reducing chargebacks, and ensuring alignment with customer compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, managed transportation partners, and advanced logistics data analytics.

This role will work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify improvement opportunities and execute initiatives that improve delivery performance, cost-efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Own, maintain, and optimize routing guides for all retail partners, ensuring compliance and minimizing chargebacks.
• Serve as the key point of contact for 3PL partners and managed transportation providers; provide operational oversight to ensure service and financial objectives are met.
• Lead logistics operations strategy and develop continuous improvement plans to optimize transportation, order fulfillment, and distribution center operations.
• Monitor and improve OTIF metrics across all retailers and channels; develop root cause analyses and corrective actions when targets are missed.
• Partner with the Supply Chain Planning team to develop efficient transportation and distribution plans based on demand and inventory availability.
• Ensure alignment between warehouse operations and logistics teams, especially during peak periods and promotional events.
• Manage all shipping transactions, including receiving orders, creating shipments, and maintaining receipts in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (BC).
• Create and manage transfer orders to move inventory across Third-Party Manufacturers (TPMs) and 3PLs, and coordinate component transfers across warehouse locations.
• Maintain timely and accurate recordkeeping of all logistics transactions in BC.
• Manage the relationship with Managed Transportation Partner, Geodis, including tracking, service performance, and escalations.
• Develop and maintain SOPs related to outbound logistics, including routing, freight claims, shipment tracking, and returns.
• Analyze logistics cost and service performance data using Excel and other tools (e.g., pivot tables, lookup functions, and dashboards).
• Develop and manage logistics KPIs, reporting regularly to leadership and recommending data-driven improvements.
• Create supporting documentation and backup for chargeback disputes, coordinating with internal departments to resolve deductions.
• Collaborate with Customer Service and Order Management to resolve delivery issues, expedite shipments, and meet customer expectations.
• Assist in the development of the annual logistics budget and monitor actual vs. forecasted spend.

Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
• Strong understanding of 3PL and managed transportation models
• Proficiency in Excel with working knowledge of pivot tables and other data analysis functions
• Experience with logistics KPIs such as OTIF, chargebacks, and freight cost
• Ability to manage complex logistics networks and drive strategic improvements
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence cross-functionally and externally
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail with a problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree required, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering or related field preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or distribution management
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing 3PL relationships
• Prior experience with ERP and WMS systems required; Business Central experience strongly preferred
• Experience in CPG is required
