Collections Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Collections Specialist to join our finance team. This role is designed to support our Collections Manager by managing high-volume, day-to-day transactional functions. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator who excels in a fast-paced environment and possesses advanced technical skills in Excel and Workday.

salary: $20 - $21 per hour

work hours: 9 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

• DSO Management: Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and send proactive payment reminders for accounts reaching the 60-day DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) mark.

• B2C Communications: Handle Business-to-Consumer collections, primarily via professional email correspondence, to resolve outstanding balances.

• Vendor Relations: Act as a point of contact for vendor inquiries regarding billing and payment status.

• Data Maintenance: Use advanced Excel functions to maintain, update, and audit collection spreadsheets.

• Billing Support: Navigate and process transactions within the Workday Billing module to ensure accurate record-keeping.

Technical Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

• Workday Billing Experience: Prior hands-on experience using the Workday Billing module is required . Candidates must be comfortable navigating Workday for billing adjustments, invoice tracking, and customer records.

• Advanced Excel Proficiency: Must be able to perform Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs daily to manage large datasets.

Qualifications

• Experience: Proven background in B2C collections or a high-volume transactional finance role.

• Communication: Excellent written communication skills with the ability to maintain a professional yet firm tone in email correspondence.

• Time Zone Alignment: Ability to work standard Eastern Time (9–5) regardless of your home time zone (EST or CST).
