Industrial Electrician
Job Summary
A well-established commercial and industrial electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to support water and wastewater projects throughout Orlando and surrounding areas. This is a direct hire opportunity with a stable company that has 40 years of experience in heavy industrial electrical work, highway lighting, traffic signalization, and utility infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for an Industrial Electrician who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, field installation, and working with complex electrical systems such as pumps, motors, MCCs, VFDs, control panels, instrumentation, and SCADA systems. Candidates must have relevant industrial electrical experience and be comfortable working in outdoor, industrial, and treatment facility environments. Key Responsibilities - Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in water and wastewater treatment facilities.- Work on pumps, motors, MCCs, VFDs, control panels, instrumentation, and SCADA-related systems.
- Install conduit, wiring, feeders, underground conduit, duct banks, and related electrical infrastructure.
- Read and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, electrical drawings, and control schematics.
- Use testing equipment to diagnose electrical and control system issues safely and accurately.
- Follow NEC standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and site-specific safety requirements while coordinating with supervisors, operators, engineers, and other trades. Compensation and Benefits - Direct hire opportunity.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems in water and wastewater environments.- Work with motors, pumps, MCCs, VFDs, control panels, instrumentation, and SCADA-related equipment.
- Install conduit, wiring, feeders, underground conduit, and duct banks.
- Interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, blueprints, and control schematics. - Minimum 3 years of industrial electrical experience required.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical and control systems using testing equipment.
- Knowledge of NEC requirements and electrical safety standards.
- Ability to follow lockout/tagout procedures and maintain safe work practices.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to travel throughout Orlando and surrounding areas within a 25 to 30 mile radius.
- Availability for occasional night work and out-of-town assignments.
- Ability to lift 50 plus pounds and work outdoors in field conditions.
- Ability to climb, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces as needed.
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with supervisors, operators, engineers, and other trades. Preferred Qualifications - Water and wastewater treatment facility electrical experience strongly preferred.
- Class A CDL preferred.
- Experience with paid certification pathways such as CDL-A, Crane, IMSA, MOT, or Traffic Signal Technician certifications is a plus.
- Prior experience with heavy industrial electrical, utility infrastructure, highway lighting, or traffic signalization projects is helpful.
