The starting salary for this position is $23.22/hr.

Repossession Recovery Specialist Role:

Facilitates the auction process with auction representative to ensure the highest possible return for Pen Air's collateral. Processes all documentation for deficiency balance and notice of sale to members in a timely and accurate manner per regulatory guidelines. Maintains appropriate reports and documentation for calculating the allowance account on repossessed collateral.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Research data and coordinates with auction representative to set floor pricing for all repossessions to ensure we have the highest possible return on our collateral.

Performs valuation of repossessed collateral at the time of repossession to determine the write down amount and proper calculations for our allowance account. Processes all proceeds from sell of our collateral. Ensures timely and proper notification is sent to all members to include Notice of Sell and Deficiency Balance letters.

Processes all Warranty, Gap, and CPI refunds and payments to repossessed accounts.

Maintains all records for the Skip, Damage, and Lend-pro claims. Ensures appropriate documents are submitted and all payments applied correctly and in a timely manner.

Reviews all invoices and notates accounts appropriately. Ensures timely payment as well as maintains current records for Repossession Agents.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

1.

Ensure timely contact with our auction, repo agents, and third-party vendors to inquire about our collateral

Maximize the collection and recovery efforts on repossessed collateral assets of the credit union.

3.

Maintain accurate and complete records of all repossession activity.

4.

Adhere to provisions as set forth in the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and ensure collection/recovery activity is always within Credit Union policy and all relevant regulations.

5.

Identify and inform management of potential underwriting problems.

6.

Provide informed, professional, and accurate service and support to all members and employees.

7.

Process repossessed accounts within specified timeframes.

8.

Ensure all notifications are sent in the specified time frame to all necessary parties

9.

Regular reliable attendance.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience

One year to three years of similar or related experience.

Education

A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills

Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
