Basic Job Functions: The Mobile Equipment Mechanic is primarily responsible for:
- The preventative & corrective maintenance of all onsite mobile equipment. (Forklifts, Aerial lifts, skid steers, company vehicles, portable generators, mobile cranes, etc.)
- Coordination of all aspects of mobile equipment rentals onsite.
- Short- & long-term management of mobile equipment spare parts
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications:
- Basic Mechanical aptitude
- 3 years of Mobile equipment maintenance experience
- Demonstratable knowledge of Diesel & Gas engines operation & maintenance
- Prior heavy industry related experience
- Metal fabrication and welding skills
- Equipment Maintenance certifications
