Job Summary

A respected estate planning and probate law practice in Altamonte Springs, FL is seeking an experienced Probate Paralegal for a full-time, direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional with hands-on Florida probate experience who enjoys managing estate administration matters, supporting attorneys, and helping families navigate important legal processes with care and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage probate case files from initial intake through closing, including tracking deadlines, court dates, and case milestones.
- Prepare probate petitions, inventories, accountings, notices, proposed orders, and other Florida probate court filings.
- Draft, review, organize, and maintain estate administration documents and supporting records.
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, financial institutions, beneficiaries, and other involved parties.
- Coordinate document execution, signatures, e-filing, physical filings, and hearing preparation.
- Maintain accurate matter information in the firm’s case management system and assist attorneys with ongoing probate case management.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary: $50,000 to $65,000 annually.

Additional Skills

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage probate matters from opening through final distribution.
- Prepare Florida probate pleadings, court documents, notices, inventories, and accountings.
- Track probate deadlines, filings, hearings, and estate administration milestones.
- Support attorneys with client communication, document preparation, and case organization.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant legal support experience preferred.
- Probate experience is required. Candidates without probate experience will not be considered.
- Strong knowledge of Florida probate procedures and estate administration.
- Experience preparing probate pleadings and filings for Florida courts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience using PDF software and legal case management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, confidentiality, and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple cases, competing deadlines, and sensitive client matters with professionalism and compassion.
- Collaborative, client-focused approach with the ability to work effectively in an onsite legal team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Paralegal Certificate or Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
- Estate planning experience in addition to probate experience.
- Prior experience in a client-facing estate administration or probate law firm environment.
