Ford Diesel Certified Service Technician

Job Summary: The Ford Diesel Certified Service Technician at Prestige Ford is responsible for performing skilled mechanical work in the service and repair of Ford diesel vehicles. This is a full-time, individual contributor role located in Mount Dora, Florida within the Auto industry. As a Ford Diesel Certified Service Technician, you will be expected to have thorough knowledge of Ford diesel vehicle systems, components, and repairs. Your work will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and performance of our customers' vehicles. Compensation & Benefits: This position offers a competitive salary of $35 to $50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and services on Ford diesel vehicles according to manufacturer specifications
• Diagnose and repair mechanical or electrical issues with Ford diesel vehicles
• Perform complex repairs, including engine overhauls, transmission replacements, and other major repairs
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and identify issues with vehicle systems
• Keep accurate and detailed records of all services performed and parts used
• Communicate with service advisors and customers to explain repairs and services needed
• Stay up-to-date with new technology, procedures, and techniques to maintain and enhance technical proficiency
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ford Diesel Certification required
• At least 2 years of related work experience in a similar role
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Must have own tools
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
