CAD Drafter - Residential Construction - Base Salary to 65k/year - Sarasota, FL

• Our client is a large residential builder that has been in the production homebuilding and property management business for over 50 years. Operating throughout Southwest Florida, they are continually growing and expanding their footprint across the state, and have sold over 20,000 homes to date. They pride themselves on their community focus and stability in their industry.
  
• In this role, the CAD Drafter will be working out of the Sarasota office. The CAD Drafter will be responsible for producing detailed technical drawings and plans based on designs, with appropriate measurements and annotations. The CAD Drafter will be involved solely in drafting in this role (not design). Proficient AutoCAD drafting experience in construction is required.

Responsibilities:

• Create production plans from the sales contract, assist in standard plans as needed, as-built structural design
  
• Provide timely and accurate floor plans and interior elevations for the creation of design catalogs
  
• Create and update all site plan information, including but not limited to the creation of as-built site plans and lot fits for all communities
  
• Maintain CAD standards and blocks and ensure all standard plans comply before releasing
  
• Assist in creating marketing documentation from Standards

Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience in AutoCAD drafting in residential construction
  
• Competency in reading and interpreting plans and blueprints
  
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel
  
• Ability to work daily out of the Sarasota office

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 55k – 65k/year range, plus bonus potential
