The Falls Animal Clinic in Palmetto Bay is looking for a skilled Veterinary Technician with a MINIMUM of two years experience to play an important role in our clinic. We are a privately owned, small animal hospital with a focus on delivering high quality patient care along with exceptional client experience. We have created a positive work culture to maintain an environment fostering both personal and professional development . We are a friendly, team oriented, and supportive clinic that recognizes the importance of a work life balance.
Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:
Support and assist veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care
Client education
Anesthesia monitoring and recovery
Must be skilled in blood draws and catheter placement
Ability to read fecals
Laboratory procedures, including in-house blood machines, sample handling, completion of reference lab forms, filling prescriptions
Experience with dental prophylaxis
Knowledge of canine and feline Vaccines
Maintain and update medical records , administer medications and treatments
Ability to lift 40 pounds, multitask and work independently
Must be reliable, on time, and clearly communicate and relay information to doctors and staff
