NewtekOne is looking to add a Business Relationship Manager to the team!
The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) plays a pivotal role in driving deposit growth, expanding account utilization, and deepening client relationships through proactive outreach. This role supports Newtek Bank's mission as a digital-first institution by engaging with existing business clients and warm leads to uncover opportunities across our suite of services, including loans, insurance, payroll, treasury, and merchant services. The BRM is a proactive business developer, trusted advisor, and skilled communicator-serving as the main point of contact to help clients optimize their financial operations and grow with Newtek.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities Include:
Engage existing clients and warm prospects through outbound calls and video meetings to:
- Grow deposit balances and account utilization
- Cross-sell complementary services such as business lending, payroll, insurance, treasury, and merchant processing
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities through consistent relationship management and follow-up
- Schedule and conduct in-depth consultations to understand client business models and financial needs
- Provide tailored solutions and recommendations to support business growth and operational efficiency
- Coordinate with internal partners to deliver seamless, value-added experiences across departments
- Open new deposit accounts and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for clients
- Monitor account activity and proactively address gaps in utilization or engagement - Maintain accurate records of client interactions, follow-ups, and referrals using internal CRM and tracking systems
- Deliver a white-glove, concierge-level experience, especially for high-value clients - Consistently follow up with clients and own the relationship-building process from initial contact through ongoing support
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- 2-4 years of experience in business banking, relationship management, or business development
- Strong relationship-building skills; client-first and growth-driven mindset
- Highly efficient with excellent time management and strong follow-through
- Excellent outbound calling and video conferencing skills; able to consistently engage clients
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; skilled in identifying client needs and financial goals
- Able to work effectively with internal partners to drive cross-sell and deliver complete solutions
- Consistent in outreach, follow-ups, and maintaining meaningful client engagement
- Organized, proactive, and focused on helping clients grow while bringing in deposits, loans, and other financial opportunities
Education & Certification Requirements:
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 per year
