Laboratory Assistant -- CHADC5785150 (St. Petersburg)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform blood collection using venipuncture and capillary techniques
- Properly label, store, and transport specimens to ensure accurate testing
- Verify patient information and maintain accurate records in lab systems
- Prepare specimens for laboratory analysis following standard procedures
- Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and supplies
- Monitor inventory of lab supplies and restock as needed
- Assist with basic laboratory support tasks and administrative duties
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff
- Ensure patient comfort and address concerns during procedures
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of blood collection techniques and safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
