We are currently seeking a Bilingual Front Desk Check-In/Out Coordinator who is fluent in both English and Spanish. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for patients and must be helpful, attentive, and detail-oriented. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting, communicates clearly and compassionately, and enjoys being part of a collaborative healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manner
  • Perform patient check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently
  • Verify and update patient demographics, insurance, and other information in the EMR (Athena)
  • Collect co-pays and other payments and provide appropriate receipts/documentation
  • Schedule appropriate follow-up appointments and coordinate future visits based on provider recommendations
  • Maintain clean and organized front desk and waiting areas
  • Promptly answer incoming calls and assist with inquiries or route calls appropriately
  • Monitor the EMR inbox and ensure medical records are sent out in a timely, HIPAA-compliant manner
  • Coordinate requests for medical records including verifying authorization, retrieving charts, and uploading or faxing as needed
  • Collaborate with medical assistants, providers, and other team members to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Contribute to a positive office culture by exhibiting professionalism, flexibility, and a team-first attitude

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of medical front desk experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Athena EMR or similar electronic medical record system a strong plus
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing an excellent patient experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
