The General Manager (GM) oversees all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring high performance in guest satisfaction, staff leadership, food quality, financial accountability, and compliance. The GM is responsible for creating a positive team culture, upholding the brand’s standards, and achieving strategic goals across departments. This role serves as the top leadership position at the restaurant location and acts as the key liaison between staff and ownership. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead daily operations, including opening, closing, and shift oversight.
- Recruit, hire, train, and mentor all FOH and BOH staff.
- Train staff according to their role
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor laws.
- Manage labor and inventory costs to align with budget targets.
- Set performance goals and provide coaching and corrective actions.
- Resolve guest complaints with urgency and professionalism.
- Collaborate with the sales/events team on private dining and promotions.
- Maintain vendor relationships and oversee ordering and invoicing.
- Ensure adherence to the company's brand, food quality, and presentation standards.
- Represent the restaurant in community and business initiatives.
- 3+ years in a senior restaurant management role
- Expert in English- speaking, reading, writing
- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
- Strong leadership and conflict-resolution skills
- Proficiency in POS systems, inventory, and scheduling platforms
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays
