The opportunity

A financial institution that pairs the regulatory strength and balance sheet of a chartered bank with the technology and speed of a fintech is building a national digital deposits platform from the ground up. The mandate is large and exciting: safely onboard up to $1 billion in annual high-yield savings deposit volume, and build the people, systems, and controls that make that growth durable.

This is a true general manager role. Marketing and demand generation plans are in place, so you own everything required to turn that demand into onboarded, well-served, and well-protected accounts. You operationalize the strategy, weigh in on the build-versus-buy decisions and their costs, hire the teams, and own the outcome.

We are early enough that you will shape the platform, and with the support of the parent entity, actually build it.

What you will own

You are accountable for the end-to-end deposits business and the full experience behind it. Four areas are the highest priority, and the role lives or dies on getting them right:

• Digital experience and UX. Account opening, onboarding, and servicing journeys that integrate cleanly with existing customer experiences.
• Operations. The deposit operations that keep the platform accurate and reliable at scale.
• Customer support. A support organization that protects the brand and resolves issues quickly.
• Policies and procedures. The operating documentation, runbooks, and risk posture expected of a regulated deposits business.

Alongside these, you also own or shape:

• Controls. You own the controls framework that lets the platform scale safely. Getting controls right and calibrating them as a part of early traction will be a key part of the job.
• The technology powering the platform. You operationalize the AI-driven onboarding, servicing, and operations stack, and weigh in on platform decisions and their costs across core banking, account opening, online and mobile banking, and payments.

Each area above has supporting partners across the organization. You direct the work and own the result.

Building the teams

You will define an AI-native operating model, hire the leaders and front-line teams, and operationalize them as volume begins. You must have experience building these functions from the start, not just managing them once mature.

What you bring

• A track record launching and scaling consumer deposit or digital banking products, ideally high-yield savings, at meaningful volume.
• Genuine command across the full stack of a deposits business: operations, customer support, policies and procedures, digital product and UX, risk and controls, and the supporting technology. You need not have been the deepest specialist in each, but you should have led or worked closely with all of them.
• Demonstrated experience building operations and support teams from the ground up.
• Fluency with modern, AI-enabled banking technology and with core banking, onboarding, and vendor selection and integration.
• Strong working knowledge of the regulatory and compliance expectations that govern a bank-grade deposits business.
• A general manager's instinct for owning outcomes, deciding with incomplete information, and moving fast without breaking the controls that matter.

The approximate salary range for this position is $200,000-$250,000 and is commensurate with experience.
