• Facility: Community Hospital – Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Cath Lab Tech Contract)
• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• End Date: November 24, 2025
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts), with on-call nights and weekends
• Hours per Week: 40
• Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab (86 beds, 1:1 patient ratio)
• Equipment: GE INNOVA, MACLAB Hemodynamic System
• Documentation: MEDITECH EMR
• Dress Code: Scrubs provided

Cath Lab Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Cath Lab Technologist or Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification (required)
• Proficient in hemodynamics, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), pacemaker (temporary and permanent) management, and STEMI intervention
• Experience with moderate sedation techniques
• Interventional radiology experience preferred
• Strong communication and patient care skills (AIDET)

Cath Lab Tech Responsibilities

• Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures, STEMI cases, interventional radiology, minor electrophysiology (EP), device implants, TEE cardioversion, and biopsies under moderate sedation
• Operate and maintain advanced cath lab equipment, including GE INNOVA and MACLAB Hemodynamic System
• Accurately document procedures and patient data using MEDITECH EMR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including RN procedural staff
• Provide on-call coverage for nights and weekends as scheduled
• Deliver high-quality patient care in a 1:1 patient ratio environment
• Comply with hospital policies, safety protocols, and best practices in clinical support
