Emergency Veterinarian - Ethos ER Immerse Mentorship Program – Estero, FL
Florida Veterinary Referral Center is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 6-month training and mentorship program. We are looking for individuals who are team oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable to train with us and transition into an ER position at Florida Veterinary Referral Center.
- State-of-the-Art Facility: Located just minutes from the pristine beaches of Southwest Florida, FVRC is fully equipped with advanced technology to support our veterinary team, including a brand-new CT, extensive in-house diagnostic laboratory, ICU, digital radiology, ultrasonography, laparoscopy, and video endoscopy. Our Emergency Department is comprised of a well-rounded and collegial team of 6 ER clinicians, and we provide specialty care in Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Critical Care through our board-certified and residency-trained specialists.

The Ethos ER Immerse Training Program
The ER Immerse Program will prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built from the ground up to be different than traditional rotating internship programs, the ERi program has been developed around a curriculum of core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian. In addition to providing training around clinical knowledge and skills, the program also includes a focus on client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration.
The ER Immerse program utilizes a hybrid training approach incorporating simulation-based didactic components into authentic training experiences with live patients. The curriculum is designed using an evidence-based strategy identifying competencies and skills deemed essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician.

Program Duration/Commitment
- 6 month training program beginning June or July 2027
- 18 month commitment as an ER clinician at FVRC following training

Program Highlights
- Rotate with specialty services during the training program, including external rotations with local in and out of network groups

- Competency-based curriculum that includes asynchronous learning on Vetbloom and weekly live virtual didactic rounds
- Regular live continuing education events led by specialists and experienced emergency doctors
