Kitchen Assistant
Restaurant in Little Havana. Bistro 8, part of Michelin awarded Showa Hospitality group ( will be a traditional bistro styled fine dining restaurant with a Mexican inspired menu. Executive chef Pancho Ibanez, has crafted a beautiful Mexican cuisine. This concept will serve to fine dining standards in an upscale casual environment.

Your culinary skills will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests, ensuring every plate meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Duties- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage practices
- Support food safety protocols by adhering to health regulations and sanitation procedures at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours, contributing to a smooth kitchen operation
- Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and plating with precision and care
- Participate in catering events or special functions as needed, providing excellent food service that exceeds expectations
Skills
- Background in food preparation or food industry environments
- knife skills
- Experience with kitchen service and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper kitchen hygiene procedures
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards during peak hours
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure seamless service delivery
Job Type: Part-time (16hrs )
Hourly wage: $13-15 depending on experience
