Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Oversee accounting for long-lived assets, reserves, and other complex balance sheet areas
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable regulatory/accounting standards
• Support external reporting requirements and audit processes

Regulatory & Compliance Support

• Partner cross-functionally to support regulatory filings and reporting requirements
• Ensure consistency between internal financials and external/regulatory reporting
• Provide accounting guidance on investments and cost recovery structures

Leadership & Controls

• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of accounting professionals
• Maintain and enhance a strong internal control environment (SOX)
• Serve as a key point of contact for audits and compliance matters

Transformation & Cross-Functional Impact

• Support ongoing ERP/system implementation and process improvements
• Drive efficiencies through standardization and automation
• Partner with Finance and operational teams to deliver actionable insights

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership
• Experience in a regulated environment (infrastructure, utilities, or similar preferred)
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls
• Experience with complex accounting areas and external reporting
• ERP experience preferred
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage competing priorities
