Start your day reviewing jobs in ServiceTitan, coordinating materials, and setting your crew up for success. By mid-morning, you’re guiding an installation—laying out duct runs, verifying line sets, and commissioning an inverter system. In the afternoon, you pivot to service: tracking down an electrical fault on a rooftop package unit, documenting findings in XOI, and walking a customer through repair options. Along the way, you mentor junior techs, ensure every task meets code, and leave each site operating at peak efficiency.

What you’ll tackle

• Lead end-to-end HVAC installations across residential and commercial projects—from site assessment and planning to start-up and customer handoff.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues on a variety of systems, including mini-splits, split systems, and package units.
• Perform preventive maintenance, component replacements, and warranty service to optimize performance and reliability.
• Ensure all work adheres to safety practices and applicable building codes; conduct rigorous quality checks.
• Train and coach junior installers and service technicians; set standards for workmanship and documentation.
• Communicate clearly with customers—explain findings, outline solutions, and demonstrate system operation.
• Maintain accurate service and installation records and keep current with evolving HVAC technologies.

Preferred skills & experience

• Hands-on familiarity with ServiceTitan and XOI (plus).
• Experience working with gas, propane, and sheet metal (plus).
• Strong understanding of inverter-driven systems, commissioning, and diagnostics.
• Background with Mini-Splits, Package Units, and Split Systems.
• Comfort working on both residential and commercial HVAC applications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of HVAC field experience, including both install and service.
• 3+ years serving as a Lead Technician or Lead Installer.
• Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic capability.
• Manufacturer certifications preferred (e.g., Trane, Carrier, Daikin, Goodman, Lennox).
• EPA certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Technical HVAC certification (preferred).
