Industrial Machine Operator
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate production machinery and associated systems to manufacture masonry units in compliance with quality control standards.
- Perform equipment start-up, monitoring, and shutdown procedures safely and efficiently.
- Monitor materials and machinery to ensure optimal production performance; report or repair malfunctions as needed.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to verify overall compliance with specifications.
- Maintain accurate production logs and reports as directed by management.
- Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean and hazard-free workspace in line with housekeeping standards.
- Ensure material feed hoppers are checked every two hours and cleaned regularly.
- Communicate product variations or operational issues to supervisory staff promptly.
- Support major equipment repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Train or assist with the training of other production team members.
- Assist with coordinating production activities to match output goals and cycle timing.
- Working knowledge of heavy machinery operation and manufacturing processes.
- Basic mechanical skills, including experience with hydraulics and small engine repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret measurements using tape measures and rulers.
- Basic math skills to perform calculations and track production metrics.
- Ability to demonstrate basic welding and torch cutting within one year of hire.
- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and crawling.
- Prolonged standing (approx. 75% of 8–10-hour shift).
- Tolerance to work in a manufacturing environment with seasonal temperature changes.
