Marine Claims Representative
Job Summary:
About the Role:
As a Marine Claims Representative, you will play a key role in supporting Disney's corporate risk and claims function by managing marine injury, illness, and property damage claims that impact our global operations. Positioned within the Corporate segment, you will collaborate with world-class professionals who help keep Disney at the leading edge of entertainment while protecting our people, guests, and assets around the world. This early career role is ideal for a detail-oriented problem-solver and independent worker who is eager to grow expertise in marine claims within a dynamic, entertainment-focused environment.

Working closely with fellow claims representatives, internal stakeholders, and external partners, you will apply sound judgment to evaluate exposure, escalate high-risk matters, and drive timely, cost-effective outcomes that support Disney's global operations and reputation. This role matters because effective claims handling safeguards the company's people, brand, and resources, and requires strong analytical skills, clear communication, collaboration, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

· Identify incidents with significant exposure and escalate appropriately to senior claims professionals or leadership.
· Place the P&I Club (insurer) on notice for incidents with potential excess coverage exposure and collaborate with them through resolution.
· Review claim files for timeliness, accuracy, and quality of documentation, updating strategies to move files toward successful and cost-effective outcomes.
· Administer litigated claims, including comprehensive case evaluation, coordination with legal partners, and monitoring of litigation milestones.
· Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information and ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable laws.
· Leverage automated claims administration and management systems to document activities, track progress, and generate reports.
· Partner effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors, demonstrating strong relationship-building, negotiating, and influencing skills.
· Manage workload under deadline pressures, prioritizing multiple tasks while maintaining high standards of organization and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications:
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex marine claim scenarios.
· Demonstrated ability to work both as a collaborative team member and as an independent worker managing individual claim files.

· Experience processing and handling crew maritime-related claims, including injury and illness matters.
· Background working within or supporting large, global, or entertainment-focused organizations.
· Demonstrated success in an early career role requiring independent work, sound judgment, and the ability to explain complex information to varied audiences.
