Construction Materials Coordinator – Jacksonville, FL

Vaco Staffing is hiring a Construction Materials Coordinator for a large client located on the Southside of Jacksonville.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working hands-on with product samples. The Construction Materials Coordinator will be responsible for evaluating and measuring construction-related materials, documenting specifications, identifying discrepancies, and preparing accurate reports for customers.

Candidates with experience working with flooring, siding, roofing, construction materials, building products, quality control, or product testing are highly encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do

• Measure, evaluate, and analyze product samples using established procedures and measuring tools.
• Review samples for accuracy, condition, quality, and unusual specifications.
• Document discrepancies, damaged or poor-quality samples, and other findings.
• Record product specifications and maintain accurate evaluation documentation.
• Communicate with manufacturers and distributors when additional product information or clarification is needed.
• Prepare detailed customer reports outlining findings and analysis.
• Properly file, organize, and store product samples.
• Assist with sample retention and disaster recovery planning.
• Provide support to other departments as business needs require.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the evaluation process.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
• 2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience within flooring, siding, roofing, construction materials, building products, manufacturing, quality control, or a related industry strongly preferred.
• Comfortable using measuring devices and light laboratory or testing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies or discrepancies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to accurately document findings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite .
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
