- Collaborates with campus leadership to optimize throughput.
- Supports quality and performance criteria and metrics for departmental and organizational specific initiatives.
- Mediates clinical issues related to throughput and ensures adherence to regulatory and professional standards.
- Maintains processes to avoid EMTALA or state access violations.
- Engages with employees in a professional and coaching manner to ensure productivity standards are met and understood.
- Maintains appropriate daily staffing levels by monitoring workflow, overtime, and schedules.
- Prepares reports to inform operational management team members, physician leaders, and administrative team of patient activity.
- Ensures outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships with patients, staff, and external partners.
- Manages capacity and bed utilization to ensure efficient and effective patient flow within the healthcare system.
- Coordinates admissions and transfers between nursing units, hospitals, Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, and direct admissions from physicians.
- Acts as liaison between patient placement, transfer center, and dispatch teams on all issues pertaining to patient flow.
- Resolves patient flow issues as they arise and escalates barriers when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
- A broad nursing knowledge in order to serve as a resource person when necessary [Required]

Education:
- Associate's of Nursing [Required]
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
Field of Study:
- N/A
Work Experience:
- 3+ previous healthcare management experience [Required]
- 3+ years related experience [Required]
- 5+ critical care experience [Preferred]
- 5+ working in patient care area [Required]
- 5+ years related experience [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- Basic Life Support (BLS) [Required]
