Working FOH Manager / Lead Server

BakeChop is looking for a passionate, experienced Working FOH Manager / Lead Server to join our strong, locally owned mom and pop company.

BakeChop has been serving the DeLand community for more than 10 years. We offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner from 8 AM to 9 PM, six days a week.

This is a hands-on leadership position. You will work regular serving shifts while helping support the front of house team, maintain service standards, and keep each shift running smoothly.

What We Are Looking For

• At least 2 years of serving experience
• Previous leadership, lead server, or restaurant management experience preferred
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead by example and remain calm during busy shifts
• Confidence handling guest concerns and supporting employees
• Experience with Toast POS is a plus
• Beer, wine, and coffee knowledge is a plus
• ServSafe certification required within 90 days

Position Responsibilities

• Serve guests while managing a section of up to 16 seats
• Support servers, hosts, expos, and other front of house employees
• Help direct the flow of service during busy shifts
• Ensure opening, shift-change, and closing checklists are completed
• Maintain front of house cleanliness, organization, and stocking
• Assist with training and coaching new employees
• Handle guest concerns professionally and help find solutions
• Communicate clearly with the kitchen and leadership team
• Help maintain consistent service and hospitality standards
• Complete basic shift leadership duties and manager logs
• Step in wherever needed to support the team

Daily responsibilities may include making coffee and tea, cutting lemons, filling sauces, stocking beer and wine, organizing takeout supplies, checking side work, closing checks, and cleaning front of house equipment.

Shifts are generally 5 to 8 hours long.

Example shifts include:

6 AM to 1 PM
8 AM to 3 PM
10 AM to 5 PM
11 AM to 7 PM
3 PM to 10 PM
5 PM to 10 PM
