Inmate Property Officer

Inmate Property Officer Location Sarasota, FL (Downtown area) :

Starting Salary - $56,010 - $65,162 (based on 12-hour shifts/2184 hours annually) (Starting salary is based on documented related experience.) Additional $1500 per year for night shift differential. Long-term salary cap: $81,178 (based on 12-hour shifts/2184 hours annually)

General Description of Duties: Accept, inspect, control, maintain and release inmate property through the use of receipts and data entry records.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrated skill in the use of computer and office equipment required to perform position tasks.
• Ability to effectively communicate information, verbal and written, demonstrating an awareness for human diversity to citizens and colleagues.
• Ability to interpret and follow procedural and policy manuals related to the job in accordance with agency policy.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
