Inside Sales Representative
Contract-to-Hire
Pay Rate: DoE
Work Schedule: 8 am - 5 pm JOB SUMMARY:
Performs selling activities over the phone and in person at the company's location. Quotes and takes orders and is responsible to communicate to customers our value proposition (i.e., why should they buy from us). Sources, negotiates, and processes purchases of "special order" items. The goal of the position is to secure and grow profitable sales, through responsive efficient service and building relationships with customers and vendors. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Works with customers to offer solutions to address their needs and improve customer service.
- Increases profitable sales by actively seeking orders from current and potential customers.
- Resolves customer questions related to orders, deliveries, and others.
- Effectively user available technology (i.e., ERP system, email, messaging) to ensure efficient execution of duties and timely completion of tasks.
- Researches, and responds to customers’ inquiries, via telephone or email.
- Provides quotations, product specifications, and similar data, as required.
- Has intimate knowledge of product lines, prices, lead times, and similar data.
- Secures opportunities to quote on customers’ requirements and follows up on quotations submitted.
- Works in a team environment with outside sales and counter sales personnel.
- Monitors sales results and offers recommendations to increase productivity.
- Provides feedback concerning customer-related matters, market challenges, and opportunities.
- Complies and assures compliance with sales policies, and practices. Strictly follows Safety Rules and Guidelines
- Identifies and presents training needs to Management.
- Accurately and carefully follows established procedures for completing work tasks.
- Demonstrates effective presentation skills to influence and communicate with customers.
- Maintains working knowledge of key products, sales policies, and practices, approvals, and promotional activities.
- Performs other duties and tasks assigned by management from time to time.

Position operates in a professional office environment. Involves sitting and answering the telephone. Role requires proficiency with computer systems, copy machines, and phones. QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma/GED or College Preferred.
- 2+ years Inside of sales experience with strong closing skills.
- Knowledge of Plumbing, PVF, and/or Utility markets.
- Positive attitude, customer service orientation, and listening skills.
- Self-motivated, energetic, goal-oriented, with a strong work ethic and a sense of urgency.
- Strong communication skills in addition to excellent interpersonal sales skills.
- Ability to work independently and goal-oriented.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, and percentages.
- Computer literate, Epicor Eclipse experience (a plus).
- Learns and demonstrates an ability to organize electronic and paper-based information
