Director of Learning & Development

We’re seeking a Director of Learning & Development to join our Human Resources team and lead initiatives that empower growth across our organization. What you'll be doing:
- Develop a company wide training roadmap to identify, develop, and retain top talent.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify training gaps and development priorities.
- Lead and grow the DeAngelis Diamond Academy, Leadership Institute, Internship Program, New Team Member Orientation, Team Summits, and LMS Systems.
- Create and maintain engaging, role-specific training programs for field, office, and leadership staff.
- Manages certificate tracking and ensures timely communication of course completions to relevant team leaders.
- Oversees all internal and external engagement surveys' registration, distribution, and processing. Analyzes survey results, communicates findings to partners, and leverages insights to develop targeted training programs to improve engagement metrics year after year.
- Design and implement succession planning processes to ensure critical roles are adequately staffed and talent is identified for future needs.
- Source or develop high-quality training content for safety, field, project management, technology, and soft skills.
- Oversee third-party vendors and internal trainers.
- Create onboarding pathways, mentorship programs, and leadership development tracks.
- Coach and mentor leaders to enhance their leadership capabilities.
- Track training outcomes, learner feedback, and knowledge retention.
- Survey and understand the success, interest, and knowledge gained from the previous courses.
- Report on training ROI, certification tracking, and performance improvements.
What you need for this position:
- 5+ years of experience in training, learning & development, or education.
- Prior experience in construction, skilled trades, or industrial sectors is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing training programs.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital training tools.
- Bachelor's degree in education, organization development, or related field.
