AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, womens services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year.
AdventHealth Tampa is home to the renowned AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute, a recognized leader in cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and leading-edge research caring for Tampa Bays hearts for over 35 years.
The Kiran C. Patel Research Institute, also located at AdventHealth Tampa, leads the way in clinical and academic research in the areas of neuroscience, cardiovascular medicine, advanced surgery and more contributing valuable knowledge that leads to tomorrows cures for conditions such as heart failure, cancer and other diseases.
The Role You'll Contribute Responsible for operating human patient simulator systems, simulation task trainers, associated medical equipment, and computer/audiovisual equipment during training exercises. This position facilitates operational and technical aspects of post-exercise debriefings using audiovisual platforms. This role involves supporting the implementation of assessments for simulation-based curriculum and analyzing quantitative, qualitative, and scientific data. In addition, this position identifies and promotes best practices that enhance clinical outcomes, team performance, patient safety, and quality improvement efforts. Additionally, this role manages and maintains equipment, communicates with vendors regarding equipment, and manages inventory of equipment and supplies.
The Value You'll Bring To The Team Ability to map clinical, educational, and operational processes, gather and analyze evidence-based data and effectively present information to various levels of audiences.
Working knowledge of current human patient simulators and simulation/audiovisual platforms, including Laerdal, Gaumard, and CAE Healthcare.
Strong organization and interpersonal skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts and ideas in understandable terms to all levels of internal staff (customers).
Qualifications The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: Associate Required.
Experience in simulation operation/education/training, preferably with human patient simulator platforms and audiovisual equipment/operating software.
Experience in direct patient care within hospital or clinical setting.
Experience in simulation operation/education/training.
