Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support financial operations within a growing laboratory services environment. This role will oversee key accounting functions, ensure compliance with financial reporting standards, and manage the month-end close process.

The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to evaluate financial data and business processes to support organizational goals and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations related to laboratory services.

• Manage and review the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP , SOX , and internal financial policies and procedures.

• Supervise, mentor, and support accounting staff while maintaining strong internal controls.

• Analyze financial data and operational processes to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to support financial and operational objectives.

• Prepare, review, and validate financial reports and accounting records for accuracy.

• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools for financial analysis and reporting.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• Minimum 2 years of management or supervisory experience

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance

• Experience managing and reviewing month-end close processes

• Strong analytical skills with experience in business process and data analysis

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification or Master’s in Accounting (MAcc)

• Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Familiarity with relational databases

• SQL query writing experience

• Prior experience in healthcare or laboratory services accounting
