POSITION: Lead Hostess – Upscale Dining in Miami Beach
About the Position
Gianni's at The Villa Casa Casuarina is seeking an experienced, polished, and hospitality-driven Lead Hostess to oversee the guest arrival experience at one of Miami Beach's premier upscale restaurants. Set within the legendary former Versace Mansion, our restaurant is known for exceptional cuisine, impeccable service, and an unforgettable luxury atmosphere.
As the first and last impression of our restaurant, the Lead Hostess plays a critical role in delivering gracious hospitality while leading the host team with professionalism, confidence, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the host team during service.
- Create a warm, polished, and memorable first impression for every guest.
- Manage reservations using OpenTable and coordinate seating to maximize guest satisfaction and restaurant flow.
- Communicate effectively with management, servers, and kitchen staff regarding seating priorities and VIP guests.
- Welcome VIPs, hotel guests, and special-event clientele with exceptional professionalism.
- Resolve guest concerns with poise and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Train, mentor, and support new host team members.
- Ensure the entrance, host stand, and reception areas remain immaculate at all times.
- Maintain accurate waitlists and communicate realistic wait times.
- Uphold the highest standards of luxury hospitality and guest service.
- Minimum of 2 years of hosting experience in an upscale or fine dining restaurant.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficiency with OpenTable is required.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance and polished demeanor.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
