Supply Chain Management Material Analyst (St. Petersburg)
Summary:
The Supply Chain Management Material Analyst (SCMA) is responsible for ensuring required materials and services arrive on time, within budget, and in acceptable condition to support successful customer assembly. Additionally, the SCMA is responsible for quoting and estimating standard and complex bid proposal packages. This role provides analytical support, evaluates material requirements, quoting and estimating data and performs data-driven reporting to support operational decision-making.
The position also requires strong analytical skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to evaluate quote proposals, review technical documentation, process customer RFQs, and assess demand and supply requirements. The analyst will also review and adjust inventory parameters as assigned.
Qualifications:
Ability to comprehend complex written material, follow detailed instructions, and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. Strong mathematical, analytical, and critical-thinking skills are essential. Must be proficient in written communication, summarization, and editing, with solid technical and product knowledge and the ability to learn new concepts quickly. Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks under time constraints.
Requires strong English communication skills and proficiency with computers and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Advanced Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, advanced formulas) is recommended. Must demonstrate strong quantitative abilities, strategic thinking, and the ability to validate the accuracy of metrics and reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• 3–5 years of supply chain management experience required.
• Review and act on internal system reports to ensure sufficient material availability, quoting accuracy and other related supply chain activities.
• Consider economic and market factors when making buying and quoting decisions, aligning them with customer needs.
• Conduct supply chain reviews during contract evaluations, ensuring information is accurate, concise, and actionable.
• Provide timely updates and problem-solving support regarding material location, procurement, and availability.
• Serve as an internal resource for component and vendor knowledge; proactively share expertise with team members and customers.
• Prepare, review, and submit accurate customer price quotes based on technical specifications and RFPs, ensuring compliance with company policies and pricing structures.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and operations to ensure quotes align with company capabilities and strategy.
• Support customer specific requirements to ensure bid proposals reflect all required and necessary information.
• Develop expertise in assigned commodities to support strategic sourcing and delivery commitments.
• Monitor performance and on time bid proposal accuracy including on-time delivery, quality, and cost targets.
• Apply standard supply chain concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Demonstrate creativity and adaptability as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
