Apprentice Summary: Are you looking to build a career? We are looking for motivated, hard-working people who want to invest in their future. Our Fort Lauderdale-based Roofing Apprenticeship program starts in October and we have 10 spots available for qualified candidates. Applicants must have an insurable driving record and be able to pass a government background check. If selected for our Roofing Apprenticeship Program, your two-year commitment includes attending class while getting paid to apply what you learn during a guaranteed 40-hour work week. The only investment we need from you is your willingness to learn and succeed. BASIC REQUIREMENTS: - Currently 18 years or older - Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record required - Must be eligible to work in the U.S. - Must be able to pass a government background check - Pass pre-employment and random drug tests - Demonstrate the desire to learn the commercial roofing trade - Ability to take direct commands - Demonstrate effective communications skills - Have completed basic academic skills: ability to read and write - Demonstrate good motor skills Commit to and practice good attendance - Practice and follow industry safety standards - Need to withstand demands of extreme weather conditions - Need to be physically fit and able to oftentimes lift more than 50 lbs.
