Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our housekeeping team at Courtyard Coconut Grove. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient and timely laundering of linens, towels, and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation in line with our hotel’s quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate and maintain all laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and presses, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry items (linens, towels, uniforms, etc.) according to hotel standards.
- Treat and handle soiled and stained items with appropriate detergents and stain removal techniques.
- Ensure that all laundry items are cleaned and processed in a timely manner to meet hotel occupancy demands.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area, following all health and safety regulations.
- Inspect finished laundry for quality and consistency, re-treating as necessary to meet standards.
- Inventory and stock linens and laundry supplies, communicating needs to supervisors when stock levels are low.
- Assist housekeeping staff in delivering clean linens and other laundry items to guest rooms and common areas as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
- Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, particularly those relating to hygiene, quality control, and safety.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in laundry services or housekeeping, especially in a hotel environment, is a plus.
- Knowledge of laundry chemicals and proper handling techniques for different fabric types.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends and holidays.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy items (up to 40 pounds) and stand for long periods.
- The role may require bending, climbing, and reaching to do laundry tasks.
