We are seeking a highly motivated Professional Engineer (PE) with 4+ years of land development experience to join our growing team in the Fort Lauderdale area. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse commercial, residential, and mixed-use development projects throughout South Florida.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage land development projects from concept through permitting and construction.

• Prepare and oversee the design of:

  • Site layout and grading plans

  • Stormwater management systems

  • Utility infrastructure (water, sewer, drainage)

  • Roadway design and paving plans

• Coordinate with local agencies including the City of Fort Lauderdale , Broward County , and the South Florida Water Management District for permitting and approvals.

• Prepare engineering reports, calculations, and construction documents.

• Review plans for technical accuracy, quality, and compliance with local and state regulations.

• Manage project schedules, budgets, and client communications.

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and EITs.

• Attend client meetings, public hearings, and agency coordination meetings as needed.

• Support business development efforts and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.

• Active Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license (required).

• Minimum 4+ years of land development experience in Florida.

• Strong knowledge of local permitting processes in Broward County and surrounding municipalities.

• Proficiency in:

  • AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • Stormwater modeling software (e.g., ICPR, WaterCAD, etc.)

  • Microsoft Office Suite

• Experience with FDOT and municipal design standards preferred.

• Strong understanding of:

  • Site grading and drainage design

  • Utility design and coordination

  • Erosion and sediment control

  • Florida stormwater regulations

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
