Ensures safe and effective handoff communications and documentation between caregivers. Participates in peer interviewing and peer review processes. Communicates courteously with internal and external customers in person or on the telephone. Demonstrates respect for co-workers and develops positive working relationships with other departments. Participates in hourly rounding using the AIDET technique to improve patient outcomes. Incorporates Caring Model behaviors and culturally competent care into daily practice. Adheres to organizational standards for dress and professional appearance. Collaborates and demonstrates teamwork in managing patient flow, promoting timely patient placement by following hospital policy for admission, discharge, and transfer. Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the delivery of nursing services. Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health and unit-specific data for process improvement initiatives. Schedule: Days Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]

• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Field of Study:

• Graduate of a school of nursing in nursing

Work Experience:

• 1+ years of recent and relevant experience [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]

• Basic Life Support-CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) [Required]
