Travel Retail Inventory and Sales Analyst
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Travel Retail Inventory and Sales Analyst to join our team. This role is essential for optimizing inventory levels, analyzing sales data, and providing insights that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for improving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Analyze sales and inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on inventory levels, sales performance, and forecasting metrics to leadership.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory.
- Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts based on historical data and market trends to support inventory planning.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, and supply chain teams to align inventory strategies with business goals.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements in inventory management and sales reporting.
- Database Management: Maintain accurate records in inventory management systems and databases, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Conduct special projects and ad-hoc analyses as required by leadership.
- Store Visits: Occasionally travel to visit and assess stores onboard to evaluate inventory practices and sales performance onboard cruise shops.
- Presentation Skills: Present findings and strategies to sales teams via Zoom or in-person meetings, fostering collaboration and understanding.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory management, sales analysis, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for store visits onboard cruise shops.
