JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active Florida medical license

• Board: Board Eligible/Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery

• DEA: Active DEA Certification

• Certifications: As applicable (BLS, ACLS)

• Experience: Prior experience in cardiothoracic surgery required

• Other Qualifications: Must provide case logs (past 12 months only, HIPAA compliant/de-identified); NPDB report within 3 months

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform inpatient consults, surgical cases, and pre & postoperative rounding

• Collaborate with APPs for consult notes and progress documentation (surgeon must add and cosign)

• Provide weekend coverage for rounding and emergent OR cases (approx. 1 weekend/month)

• Participate in night call rotation (4:30p – 7:00a) with equitable distribution among surgeons

• Respond to floor patient needs, ER calls, and CVICU requests as needed
