US Deloitte Technology - Product Engineering Role Overview: As Chief Architect Leader for Deloitte's DT-US Product Engineering, you will serve as the visionary shaping our technology strategy and driving Product Engineering Transformation. As an integral member of the leadership team, you will influence key decisions and deliver major enterprise initiatives. You will define the architectural vision and technology roadmap, oversee system design and enterprise architecture, ensure technical integrity, and lead transformation across products and business areas. You will collaborate with senior executives, engineering leaders, and business stakeholders to align technology with business strategy and achieve measurable impact. Leveraging your expertise, you'll champion architectural excellence, foster innovation, and strengthen our position as a technology leader. You will also build and elevate the architecture function, set technical direction, champion best practices, and mentor teams to cultivate a culture of innovation and high performance. Responsibilities: + Strategic Planning: Transform business goals into actionable strategies and roadmaps, evolving our technology blueprint and architecture to deliver incremental business value through fully automated, resilient products and platforms. Shape the technical vision and architectural strategy to achieve business objectives and contribute to the firm's overall technology direction. + Technical Leadership: Design long-term, resilient, secure, and scalable technology architectures with a focus on AI. Engage in hands-on architecture design, architectural reviews, and technical mentorship to ensure innovative and practical solutions. + Team Leadership: Own and drive the architecture practice, focusing on recruiting and managing hands-on architects and engineering leaders to build a high-performing team. Lead by example, modeling the approach of a true engineer through tackling complex architectural challenges, leading critical projects, conducting technical workshops, and providing real-time solutions. + Innovation and Thought Leadership: Identify and recommend emerging technology trends impacting Product Engineering. Lead innovation activities, support and enhance enterprise platform capabilities, and showcase work externally through conferences, white papers, and industry publications. + Mastery of Craft: Spearhead engineering strategy initiatives and continuous improvement, demonstrating passion for technology and architecture. Continuously upskill, share insights, and foster a culture of engineering excellence and learning. + Strategic Vision and Executive Collaboration: Advocate and communicate a shared technology vision across the enterprise. Collaborate with executives to define and implement transformation strategies. + Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders to manage complex products, drive priorities, and set expectations. Ensure seamless co-creation between stakeholders, product, experience, and engineering teams to achieve business goals. The successful candidate will possess: + Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to handle diverse situations, complex projects, and changing priorities, behaving with passion, empathy, and care. Required Qualifications: + A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline. Experience is the most relevant factor. + 15+ years of hands-on software engineering experience at the enterprise level, including start-up experience, with a background in architecting, designing, developing, deploying, and operating products and platforms. + 8+ years of experience in cloud-native engineering, utilizing FaaS and PaaS solutions on multiple leading cloud hyperscalers such as Azure, AWS, and GCP. + 8+ years of leadership experience driving technology vision, strategy, research, and roadmap development with direct or matrixed teams. + 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, creating production-grade applications, with at least the last two years focused on GenAI and LLMs. + Demonstrated full-stack development experience, including frontend technologies such as Angular and React, and backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, and .NET Core/C#, as well as experience integrating with enterprise platforms such as SAP, ServiceNow, or Salesforce. + Demonstrated experience with big data technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases. + Proficiency in software engineering fundamentals, including business context diagrams (BCDs), sequence, activity, state, entity-relationship, and data flow diagrams, as well as OOP/OOD, data structures, algorithms, and code instrumentation. + Prior experience utilizing modern methodologies and tools such as XP, Lean, DevSecOps, Azure DevOps, SRE, and GitHub Enterprise to rapidly deliver high-quality solutions. + Prior experience with ITSM, GRC, GDPR, and SOC2. Other: + Ability to travel 0-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the customers you serve. + Limited immigration sponsorship may be available. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $235,000 to $432,800. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
