Driver/Stretcher Operator

Job Description:

Paramedics and EMTs welcome! We are currently seeking professional, punctual, and customer-focused drivers to join our growing team. As a NEMT (Non Emergent Medical Transport) Driver with A&G Medical Transport, you will be responsible for safely transporting clients to and from medical appointments, facilities, and homes.

Responsibilities:

• Must work Saturdays
• Safely transport patients using a stretcher in a specialized NEMT vehicle.
• Assist patients during loading and unloading while ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate stretcher equipment, ramps, and securement systems properly.
• Maintain communication with dispatch regarding trip status and scheduling.
• Complete trip documentation and required reports accurately.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and keep vehicles clean and sanitized.
• Provide respectful, compassionate service to patients and caregivers.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.

Qualifications:

• Must be 25 years or older
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations)
• Ability to pass physical and drug screening
• Experience with senior citizens or persons with disabilities is a plus
• PASS, PASS Wheelchair, FWA, Defensive Driving, HIPPA, First Aid, and CPR Certifications
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and assist with mobility equipment
• Ability to take long distance transports as needed (Jacksonville, Gainesville, Dothan, etc..)

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 45.0 per week
