Accounting Clerk

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounting Clerk in Tampa, FL. Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support daily accounting operations and financial recordkeeping activities. This role is responsible for processing transactions, maintaining financial records, assisting with reconciliations, and providing administrative support to the Accounting and Finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles. Key Responsibilities:

• Accounting Clerk will process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Enter and maintain accurate financial records and accounting data
• Assist with invoice processing, payment posting, and cash application activities
• Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer accounts
• Prepare and maintain accounting reports, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation
• As an Accounting Clerk, you will assist with month-end close activities and account reconciliations
• Research and resolve discrepancies related to invoices, payments, and account balances
• Maintain organized files and records in compliance with company policies
• Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding account activity
• Support audits and provide requested documentation
• Assist with special projects and other accounting duties as assigned
• High School diploma/GED or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
• 1+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or related experience
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Experience with accounting or ERP systems
• Experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or General Accounting
• Experience working in a fast-paced business environment
