Product Owner - Defense - (Maritime Technology & Intelligence)

 The Opportunity: 
 Pole Star Defense is looking for a versatile Product Owner to serve as a facilitator and bridge between the customer and development team. The ideal candidate will be highly effective in communicating and interfacing with all levels of staff and clientele and will understand structured project management (left to right). This person will be efficient in creating and implementing processes to execute work quickly. They will help build a productive environment where team members "own" the product and enjoy working on it. 
Key Responsibilities:
- Uses an agile mindset, values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions.
 - Coaches agile Scrum Teams around timeline and deliverable expectations.
 - Coaches the organization on agile mindset and value principles on how to apply those to value delivery workflows.
 - Coordinates sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups to deliver defined sprint backlog in relation to customer priorities.
 - Coordinates customer priorities to handle new and ongoing requests to build a robust product backlog for delivery execution.
 - Manages stakeholder expectations and tracks risks and benefits.
 - Creates actionable solution output reports from the agile process that show executed value against planned effort.
 - Facilitates internal and external communication around built artifacts to hold teams accountable to an agreed roadmap.
 
Required Skills:
- A thorough understanding of Agile project management methodologies
 - Minimum 3-5 years' experience as Scrum Master, Product Owner or in a similar role
 - Excellent analytical, logical, and organizational skills
 - Problem solving and conflict-resolution ability
 - Knowledge of Agile Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
 - Experience working with DHS or DoD
 
Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory):
- Project Management Certification(s) such as PMP, CAPM or equivalent
 
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, related field or equivalent experience
 - Certified Scrum Master and/or Certified Product Owner
 
Work Arrangement:
This is a hybrid role, where you would be working from our offices in St Pete 3 days per week.
 Travel Requirements: 
- Up to 10% travel may be required.
 
- Salary $104,000 - $132,500 per annum (DOE)
