Job Summary

Prime Construction Group, Inc is looking for a motivated, Excavator Operator with experience in excavating trenches for underground utilities in urban areas , lift stations , storm drainage , gravity sewer , large diameter pressure pipe and mechanical piping.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Works under the direction of the site foreman, to complete daily schedule of work.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
• Review plans and specifications of projects.
• Perform excavation in accordance with OSHA Standards
• Clean equipment as scheduled and/or required.
• Ensure equipment is safely and securely stored.
• Advise Foreman of any required maintenance or repairs.
• Participate in routine maintenance.
• Practice workplace safety to ensure the safety of fellow employees and public.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or G.E.D. or an equivalent combination of education and training. Three (3) years experience an Equipment Operator, preferably in urban areas.

Experience with water and sewer installations. Knowledge of: reading locate sheets and possible underground and/or overhead utilities; workplace safety requirements and procedures; and equipment operation, cleaning and maintenance requirements. Ability to read and understand field survey layouts, policies, procedures and instructions.
