We are seeking a 3–5 year Litigation Associate to join our growing Insurance Defense practice. This attorney will independently manage defense litigation matters involving general liability, third-party insurance defense, and premises liability, while working alongside experienced trial attorneys on complex cases. The role offers meaningful courtroom exposure, hands-on litigation experience, and the opportunity to serve as first chair at trial. Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception through trial
- Develop case strategy and evaluate exposure for insurance carriers and clients
- Conduct and defend fact and expert depositions
- Draft and argue dispositive motions, including motions for summary judgment
- Serve as first chair at jury trials and evidentiary hearings
- Attend site inspections and in-person depositions as needed
- Maintain proactive communication with clients and insurance carriers
- Ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements
- Manage high-volume litigation files in Florida state courts
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar
- 3–5+ years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience
- Experience taking and defending expert depositions
- Strong motion practice and courtroom advocacy skills
- Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload
