Hours : Day Shift, 40 Hours Per Week

Shift : Mon-Fri-7:30am-4pm

Location : St. Petersburg, FL

Position Summary:

• The Medical Transcriptionist performs transcription functions, word processing, communication, and clerical functions effectively and accurately assures that the department's needs are met in a timely manner.
• Possesses strong communication skills, high attention to detail and can be relied upon for dependable and consistent work output.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• A minimum of a High School diploma, GED, Certificate of Completion or equivalent achievement.

Experience:

• 2 years’ experience as a medical or general secretary or clerk
• Proficient in medical terminology, transcription of recorded dictation and computerized word and data processing
• Ability to understand and react effectively to the age-specific needs unique to patients
• Demonstrate attention to detail and efficiency; possess problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Possess proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to perform computer work for extended periods of time

Salary Range: Minimum 17.97/hour - Maximum 28.74/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
