Catering Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Promote and market the Club’s dining and event facilities for private banquets, business meetings, weddings, and social gatherings.
- Plan, promote, and generate enthusiasm and interest for the Club’s diverse social programs; works closely with the Catering Director.
- Build sand maintain relationships with members to assist in planning events that align with their vision and expectations.
- Maintain community visibility with entertainers, retailers, and artists to bring added value to events.
- Act as a liaison between inter-clubhouse departments to ensure the quality and successful execution for said events.
- Respond to member inquiries, conduct site visits, and help clients plan menus and event details in collaboration with the Executive Chef and culinary team.
- Prepare and oversee all contracts, banquet event orders (BEOs), and service details.
- Coordinate with food & beverage, kitchen, housekeeping, engineering, communications, and other departments to ensure smooth execution of all events.
- Assist guests with parking, entertainment, decorations, audio/visual and any other requirements integral to events being planned.
- Arrange prompt payment for all events.
- Attend events as necessary to oversee set-up, execution, and guest experience.
- Address member or guest concerns with professionalism and follow through on solutions.
- Review event set up and ensure accuracy against BEOs and contracts.
- Ensure adherence to budget controls in coordination with the Controller; monitor billing and financial outcomes of events.
- Maintain detailed records of past and potential clients and schedule follow-ups to build relationships and drive repeat business.
- Critique event execution and implement improvements for future functions.
- Attend management meetings to align event strategy with overall Club goals and policies.
- Coordinate closely with the communications team to promote events through Club channels.
- Ability to read, writes, and speaks English proficiently in order to perform the duties of the job
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook)
- Indoor/outdoor business environment
- Ability to work extended hours including days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
